Our cattle’s health and well-being are a top priority at Genesee Valley Ranch. We believe in raising our animals in a stress-free environment to ensure their wholesome development. One of the most stressful times in an animal’s life is saying good-bye to mom, better known as weaning.
Making bone broth from naturally raised animals isn’t only delicious, it has great benefits as well. Bone broth contains amino acids essential for many aspects of health. Along with gut health, bone broth has a positive effect on our immune system, joint pain and swelling. It’s also a powerful antioxidant and is beneficial for body detoxification. With our 100% grass fed Wagyu cattle, the bones used to make broth are richer in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B, zinc, iron, potassium, phosphorus, beta carotene and CLA's (conjugated linoleic acids which fight inflammation and help keep the pounds off).
If commercial agriculture is defined by the organized growth of a certain plant or group of plants then the Genesee Valley isn't necessarily the spitting image. For centuries, nature has provided the right ingredients to yield a diverse species of grasses ripe for grazing. The careful stewardship of pioneer rancher Edwin D. Hosselkus and generations of Northern Maidu Indians gently developed the land with true sustainability.
Our mineral program is one of the many unique features of Genesee Valley Ranch 100% grass-fed Wagyu Beef. We utilize a free choice mineral program which allows the cattle to consume only the exact vitamins or minerals its own individual body needs at that time. This holistic approach to herd health allows our animals to naturally balance their own needs creating an overall healthier cow.
